Screenprint masterclass

This weekend I participated at a screenprint masterclass organized by Nieuweklasse http://www.nieuweklasse.org/ led by Harmen Liemburg http://www.harmenliemburg.nl/ at the AGA http://www.amsterdamsgrafischatelier.nl/
It was a hardworking and fun weekend. I’ve learned so much and it was great to see how enthousiastic we all where during this weekend.

Pocketcalendars Typoteque.com

It's the second time I ordered the pocketcalendar sketchbook from typoteque.com designed by Peter Bilak.

The last years edition looked very nice and was easy to use. But after a couple of months the cover was starting to fall apart. I used tape to put it together.
The 2010 edition has a vinyl cover and hopefully this one stays beautiful and complete 'till the end of 2010.
I like the pocket calendar a lot because it is also a sketchbook too.

DUTCHDESIGNDATABASE.COM

I like this very much!

At this website you can upload your own work and the database shows 15.000 designs and make connections between works.
The Graphic Design Museum made it and visitors can see all the designs on their own way.

Door mat

Some weeks ago I received the door mat from the design magazine Items. Thonik made the door mat and it says in one line from one direction 'in' and from the other direction 'uit' (out).
When I saw it I immediately liked it.

The only problem with the mat is that it smells really badly. It's made from rubber and it's at the front door of my apartment. But that's inside so I hope the smell don't irritate my neighbors a lot. The smell is still there but not as badly as in the beginning.

I don't want to take it away from my front door so neighbors; 'I'm sorry!'
